Commercial Waterproofing Systems from Gaco and Kemper System
Commercial Waterproofing Relies on Monolithic Liquid Membranes to Stop Water Penetration
Gaco and Kemper System offer premium waterproofing products for your building. Whether it's polyurethane or PMMA systems, we can tailor a waterproofing design to suit your needs including reinforced and non-reinforced membranes. These can be utilized in roofs, foundations, tanks, plazas, or below grade. We can even meet NSF/ANSI 61 water treatment regulations regarding the equipment involved and the production of potable water.
Kemper 2K PUR is an odor and solvent-free monolithic and reinforced membrane. About 80% of the resin is obtained from raw, reusable materials. Although the applications for this system are endless, it is an ideal waterproofing solution for buildings such as hospitals, data centers, and difficult applications that demand zero tolerance for failure.
GacoFlex LM60 is a non-reinforced polyurethane membrane. It’s 100% solids, liquid-applied, two-component coating that cures into a water-resistant polyurethane elastomeric membrane. Once applied, this seamless membrane will provide long lasting waterproofing.
Our solutions do not require the use of kettles or heat during application!

Commercial Waterproofing FAQs
What is commercial waterproofing?
Commercial waterproofing refers to the process of making a commercial building resistant to water infiltration, moisture damage, and leaks. It involves the application of various techniques and materials to prevent water from seeping into the building's structure, foundation, or interior spaces.
Why is waterproofing important for commercial buildings in Michigan?
Waterproofing is crucial for commercial buildings in Michigan due to the state's climate, which often includes heavy rain, snowfall, and fluctuating temperatures. Proper waterproofing helps protect the building from water damage, such as leaks, mold growth, structural deterioration, and costly repairs.
What are the common signs that a commercial building needs waterproofing?
Some common signs that indicate a commercial building may require waterproofing include water stains on walls or ceilings, musty odors, peeling paint or wallpaper, mold or mildew growth, damp or wet basements, and visible cracks in the foundation or walls.
How long does the waterproofing process take?
The duration of the waterproofing process can vary depending on the size and complexity of the commercial building, as well as the specific services required. It is best to contact our team for a thorough assessment and an estimated timeline based on your project's specifics.
How much does commercial waterproofing cost in Michigan?
The cost of commercial waterproofing can vary depending on factors such as the size of the building, the extent of waterproofing required, and the specific services chosen. We offer personalized quotes based on individual projects after a thorough assessment of your building's needs.
Can waterproofing help improve energy efficiency?
Yes, waterproofing can contribute to improved energy efficiency in commercial buildings. By sealing off any gaps, cracks, or areas of water infiltration, waterproofing helps maintain a more consistent indoor temperature. This reduces the strain on HVAC systems and can lead to lower energy consumption and utility bills.
Is it necessary to hire professionals for commercial waterproofing?
While there are DIY waterproofing products available, it is highly recommended to hire professionals for commercial waterproofing projects. Professional waterproofing companies have the expertise, experience, and specialized equipment to ensure effective and long-lasting waterproofing solutions.
